Versell Smith, Director of Operations, is a graduate of the University of Michigan and has over 15 years experience in the practice support arena with international law firms and corporate legal departments. Among his wide-ranging responsibilities, he has been involved in professional staff management for a five-state multi-million dollar environmental litigation matter. Additionally, Mr. Smith served as project manager where he directed legal and factual investigations for a Superfund liability matter.
In addition to his allied litigation support credentials, Mr. Smith has extensive experience in outsourcing, research, human resources, and contract negotiations.
Prior to joining Rhumbline, Mr. Smith worked as a litigation consultant where he advised Global 500 clients and Fortune 100 companies in the insurance, tobacco, manufacturing, automotive, oil and gas, and entertainment industries. |

Richard L. Hammond, Principal, has over nine years of heavy legal recruitment and staffing experience in the placement of attorney, paralegal, legal secretary and litigation support professionals. He has staffed some of the most notable litigation matters to many of the major law firm and legal corporate entities in the legal arena. Throughout his career, Richard has also established key relationships within the legal community, including many local and national organizations and associations. He actively participates in several charitable events and continues to play an integral part in the growth and expansion of Rhumbline and its’ affiliate companies. |

| Myra Mendizabal, Principal |

Myra L. Mendizabal, Executive Vice President, began her legal career in 1995 as a paralegal. In 1998, she went on to work in the Human Resources industry as a regional recruitment specialist for a high-end national retailer. There she was responsible for recruiting all positions and handled many human resource functions for several locations. In 2000, Myra returned to the legal industry as the Placement Director for a national recruitment and staffing firm, having found the perfect marriage of two industries she enjoyed tremendously. She quickly developed strong relationships with both candidates and clients alike, placing candidates with major law firms and corporate legal departments within the Los Angeles area. In the fall of 2000, she helped in the creation of Rhumbline Legal Solutions, where she continues to assist in all areas of placement and is visibly active in many local organizations. |

Paul Bartley, Principal, has spent more than 15 years globalizing creative business opportunities. After receiving his B.S. from the University of Southern California's Entrepreneurship Program, Mr. Bartley founded a myriad of businesses in staffing, publishing, manufacturing, import-export and the service industries that are currently in operation in eight countries. His experience in corporate growth and structure has given our team the capacity to expand our existing services and plans for future growth. |
